Abstract:

Introduction: The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of resistance and aerobic training on Glut2 gene expression in pancreatic tissue of type 2 diabetic rats. Method: In this experimental study, 32 male Wistar rats in the weight range of 220+20 g were selected and then divided into 4 groups (3 type 2 diabetic groups and one healthy group). Induction of diabetes was performed by nicotinamide solution and STZ. Resistance training program was performed for 12 weeks, 5 sessions per week in the form of 3 courses with 6 repetitions in each course. The aerobic exercise program was performed on the treadmill for 12 weeks, 5 sessions per week with a gradual increase in speed (18 to 26 meters per minute) and time (10 to 55 minutes). Glut2 expression was measured by Real Time PCR. Data were analyzed by independent t-test and one-way analysis of variance at the P <0.05. Results: The results showed that there was a significant difference in intergroup changes in GLUT2 levels. There was no significant difference in the expression of this gene in the study of GLUT2 levels to compare healthy control and diabetic control groups. Conclusion: It seems that aerobic training to have a positive effect on the expression gene of GLUT2 in pancreatic tissue of type 2 diabetic rats.

Effect of 12 Weeks Aerobic Training on FOXO1 Gene Expression in Pancreatic Tissue of Type 2 Diabetes Wistar Rats

Objective: Exercise as a non-pharmacological treatment plays an important role in regulating and reducing the inflammatory cytokine associated with beta cell function. Genetics is one of the most important and effective factors in the incidence of diabetes, in most cases. The present study aims to explain the effect of 12 weeks aerobic training on FOXO1 expression in pancreatic tissue, insulin ...

Effect of continuous aerobic training versus high intensity interval training on Resistin and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetic rats

Background: the adipose tissue produces and releases peptides that contribute to various processes in body, including insulin resistance. The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of eight weeks of continuous aerobic training and high intensity interval training on Resistin and insulin levels and insulin resistance in type 2 diabetic male wistar rats. Methods: Twenty-four Wistar rats...
